Cash Drawer Won't Open When Taking Cash Payment

  1. Check connection between the drawer and the printer (There is a 6 pin cable that looks like phone cord linking them)
  2. Check the connections to make sure they’re tight and then power cycle the printer. There may be a physical power switch on the right hand side of the printer, or a power button. You can also unplug the power cord and plug it back in
  3. If you're also having issues with the printer, check that the USB cable is snug, and/or try a different USB port on the register.
  4. Restart the app on the register after power cycling the printer just to make sure they’re properly linked up – you can do that from the (i) menu on the top left.
