Set up existing front counter register as order kiosk

This applies to existing registers that are already set up as front counter registers. Follow these instructions carefully.

  1. On the register, go to Settings, then tap Features.
  2. Scroll down and find Ask for order reference. Toggle this to ON.
  3. Scroll back up, find Automatically Print Receipt, and toggle it to OFF.
  4. A few spaces below that, you'll see Skip Reciept Screen. Toggle this to ON.
  5. Switch to the Advanced tab.
  6. Scroll all the way to the bottom and find Sync Orders Upon Completion. Toggle it to ON.
  7. Towards the left, tap Devices, then Kitchen Display Server to the right.
  8. Find Live Updates and toggle it to OFF.
  9. At this point, we are done changing the settings, so return to the main screen by tapping Register on the upper left.
  10. Now we will enter kiosk mode. Tap the information   button on the top left corner.
  11. Tap Self-ordering.
  12. Enter the manager's PIN. Note - if you ever need to exit kiosk mode, tap the screen, then you should see Exit on the top right corner, then enter the PIN. If this is not there, press the top left corner of the screen for 5-10 seconds and it should exit kiosk mode automatically.
  13. Turn around the register so that the kiosk side is facing the customer side of the counter.
  14. Make sure credit card reader so that it is facing the customer side of the counter. After this, the register is ready to be used as an order kiosk.
