The NetGear LM1200 is more or less a plug and play device and requires little setup.

  • For US Cellular's failover plans we need to change the default APN settings of the device to:
    • uscc00000.enterprise0.usc-cdp

To do so:

  1. Insert the US Cellular micro-sim card and power on the device.
  2. Plug a computer's ethernet connection directly into the LAN port of the LM1200.
  3. The Netgear LM1200 will have a randomly assigned IP address -- to determine what this is you can run "IPCONFIG" in a command prompt. The Default Gateway address will be the IP Address we need.
    1. Example output (this information may change whenever the device is rebooted):
      Ethernet adapter Ethernet:
      Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : routerlogin.net
      Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::fa24:2e0d:7ce7:32d8%17
      IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.202.120.147
      Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
      Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.202.120.1
  4. Navigate to that Gateway IP Address in your web browser and login using the password printed on the device's label.
  5. Navigate to Settings -> Mobile -> APN
  6. Press Add
  7. Enter name: USCC and APN: uscc00000.enterprise0.usc-cdp and press Save.
  8. Select the newly created APN from the list and the device will reboot automatically.
  9. Device is configured. The LAN port on the LM1200 can now be connected to the INTERNET 2 port on your Meraki MX68 Firewall.

If you are in an area that requires roaming support, enable "Always" the Auto-Connect option:
